The Role
Our client is looking for a senior lawyer to join the private client team at its Rotherham office and take on the full remit of private client work. This will include drafting simple and complex wills, dealing with Court of Protection matters, estates administration and advising on inheritance tax; applying for grants of probate and drafting deeds of variation. The successful candidate will also be expected to play an active role in business development, contributing to, devising and attending events internally and externally. The private client department is extremely busy and the firm strongly supports fee-earners wishing to develop their careers and develop their own areas of specialism so this is a fantastic opportunity to move forward with this supportive and ambitious firm.

The Candidate
The firm is looking for a qualified solicitor of 5 years' PQE or a similarly-experienced legal executive, with a solid background in private client work gained within a reputable wills and probate team;
Possessing excellent technical skills, with strong drafting ability and a focused, detailed approach;
Have great client-care skills, able to explain complex matters with clarity and empathy;
STEP membership would be advantageous;
A commitment to promoting the work of the department and the firm as a whole is essential.
