Senior Legal Counsel

An iconic British car manufacturer in East Anglia is seeking a c.7+ PQE commercial lawyer to join the team as Senior Counsel. This position will suit lawyers based either in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk or Suffolk, but there is a relocation package available for those from further afield.

The Business

Thanks to a huge influx of investment and an exciting new range due to be released in the next few years, the business is going from strength to strength, increasing in output exponentially and thus looking to grow their legal function. The business is already under way with tapping into new markets across America, Europe and Asia, as well as branching into an eco-friendly market with a unique offering.

The Role

Reporting into the General Counsel, the Senior Counsel will provide legal and commercial advice to the business across multiple areas of law, whilst also supporting the procurement and supply chain divisions. Areas of particular importance will include:

- Commercial contracts;
- IP and trademark strategy;
- Some Company Secretarial matters; and
- Providing advice on compliance and regulatory matters.

This will be an extremely broad role which represents a superb opportunity for a senior commercial lawyer looking to further develop their skills in anticipation of a future Head of Legal position.

The Person

You will be a c.7+ PQE commercial lawyer, ideally with some in-house experience. Any experience in engineering or manufacturing businesses would be beneficial.
