Counsel role for an M&A / Private Equity Lawyer – Hong Kong – Leading US Firm

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Hong Kong for a senior Corporate Associate who is interested in moving into a Counsel role at a leading US firm. 

The firm is investing heavily into its M&A/Private Equity team and is on the lookout for locally-based or Chinese speaking Corporate lawyers with around 5+ PQE.

The practice focuses on premium-value private equity transactions as well as private M&A and other corporate matters such as joint ventures.  Many of the firm’s clients are high-profile Asia and US PE houses, as well as Chinese companies looking to invest in the South East Asian region.

This opportunity will bring excellent partner-prospects as well as a New York Counsel-level salary which will be better than many Partner-level salaries in the region.

Chinese languages are needed for the role, and ideally the candidate will be a PRC national who has completed their JD in the US or law degree in the UK and has practiced in New York or London and now looking to move to Hong Kong if they are not already based there at another leading firm.
