Legal Counsel, global business

Opportunity for a construction, commercial or disputes lawyer NQ – 5 PQE to join the legal team of an international business based in the West Midlands.

My client is an innovative cutting-edge business in the building and construction sector with global operations.  The business is multifaceted in nature and your role will see you working across a variety of sectors including residential and commercial development, infrastructure, education and healthcare both in the UK and internationally.

Due to an expansion of the legal function, an opportunity has arisen for a construction, projects, commercial to join the team. 

You will work closely with the Senior Legal Counsel and gain exposure across all areas of the business in the UK and internationally, advising the business in relation to commercial projects, construction matters, contracts, disputes and compliance areas. 

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Drafting and negotiating a project related documentation including: Consultancy agreements, Collateral warranties, Novation agreements, Variations and general contract amendments.
• Advising on disputes and claims management.
• Advising on Group compliance including rolling out and streamlining policies and procedures and training business colleagues
• Advising on ad-hoc commercial business issues.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior to mid-level lawyer with NQ - 5 PQE gained in construction, projects, commercial or disputes to move into a business and undertake a varied role where no 2 days are the same!
