Legal Counsel - Fintech

This leader is now seeking an ambitious and determined Legal Counsel to provide high-calibre commercial advice across its business.

The role:

Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, this position works across a wide range of areas to support the company in relation to its product. Responsibilities include:

• Providing practical, risk-weighted legal guidance on a broad range of legal matters
• Negotiating banking agreements, technology license agreements and other contracts as relevant
• Identifying and taking steps to minimise legal risks to the business, including the improvement of current processes and procedures
• Advise on privacy and data security matters impacting the business across multiple markets
• Advise and draft on a multitude of regulations applicable to payments and financial services products across multiple jurisdictions

About you

As the Legal Counsel, you will be an ambitious, professional and articulate individual and possess the following skills:

• At least 3-6 years' PQE in a reputable firm/organisation with experience in financial services regulation
• Detailed experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and commercial agreements
• The ability to identify legal and commercial risks across a spectrum of areas including contract law, regulatory compliance, IT and IP
• A relevant practising certificate and a keen interest in the fintech industry (foreign lawyers welcome)
