IP /IT Partner, West Midlands - A leading regional law firm is keen to capitalise on their recent successes and as a result of their ambitious growth plans they have identified the need for an additional IP Partner to further develop the intellectual property and information technology offerings within the Midlands market.

THE ROLE:
This firm are highly rated in a number of disciplines and are looking to continue their recent successes within the commercial department. As they are extending their IP/ IT offerings, they are looking for like minded individuals who are able to hit the ground running and will relish the chance to assist in driving the department and firm forward. Your role will be fairly diverse and will present you with interesting challenges on a day to day basis. Primarily you will be responsible for your own caseload of IP / IT related matters however you will be instrumental in looking after your own clients as well as business developing and networking in the local market.

THE CANDIDATE:
Applicants will have a minimum of 7 years experience and will be either a partner in their current firm or a senior associate who is frustrated at the lack of progression and direction at their current firm. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills along with a technically sound knowledge are required for this role. You will be highly experienced in IP / IT law and possess excellent academics coupled with the ability to manage your own caseload. You must be able to work with minimal of supervision and be an ideas person who is keen to contribute new ideas and ways of working into the firm. You must also be able to demonstrate and excellent record within business development. Suitable IP / IT Partners will have a network of contacts that are able to instruct on future matters. As part of the interview process you will be asked to pull together a business plan and this will form part of your strategy for the first year of working at the firm.

There is a strong track record of promotion from within the firm and several of the existing Equity partners joined the firm as Junior Partners and through hard work have progressed rapidly through the ranks. Pasquale is a specialist recruitment professional with many years’ experience working for some of the most reputable global recruitment organisations in the world.
