Job Details
Our client, an international privately owned investment company, is looking to hire a Head of Compliance/Regulation for their European office in London. The Head of Compliance reports to the Group General Counsel and with other business units helps to ensure that business activities are conducted within the applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Compliance matters include issues involving:
- Anti-bribery, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering laws;
- Economic sanctions;
- Data privacy laws and regulations (GDPR); and
- Laws and regulations pertaining to insider trading, fraud, and manipulation in financial markets.
Candidates will be :
- UK (or a major EU jurisdiction) qualified with 6+ years of experience in regulatory and compliance matters , either at a major law firm or in-house at a financial institution.
- Experienced in collaborating with high performing investment, financial and legal professionals.
- Able to understand internal clients’ business objectives and to deliver practical, risk-weighted advice and results.
- Entrepreneurial in the execution-oriented culture in the context of a family-owned enterprise with a light regulatory profile
