This FTSE 100 consumer is ever-present around the UK. As a constantly evolving business, the company now has a need for an IP lawyer, ideally an IP lawyer with marketing experience or at least a keen interest in marketing as well as IP.

The Opportunity

The role provides key legal support to the overall business on strategic IP protection matters, particularly relating to branding and trade marks; IP disputes and advising on all aspects of marketing campaigns and ASA provisions. The position is part of a well-respected, highly commercial, global legal team. 

You will need to acquire in-depth knowledge of the business and its direction to best enable you to advise accordingly and find solutions within the realm of IP and marketing. You will develop strong relationships within the business, particularly with the marketing division, which will assist you in providing dedicated legal support to the customer and market facing teams in the business.

About You

To be successful in this role, a strong IP background is essential, ideally non-contentious although a contentious background will also be considered. Marketing and consumer law experience would be advantageous. Ideally, you will have trained and qualified with a leading IP practice and you must have a keen interest in marketing and consumer brands. 

Excellent interpersonal skills and e ability to operate in a commercial way is key.
