In House Counsel - Data Protection - Fin Tec

A fast growing financial services/fin tec organisation seeks to recruit an experienced Data Protection Lawyer to take overall responsibility for leading Data Protection across the organisation.

THE ROLE

As a member of a vibrant and growing organisation, you will be responsible for implementing and managing GDPR policies and procedures across the business, duties will include;.

Chairing the Data Protection Committee

Managing the implementation of a full data governance programme.

Identify changes/new processes for the use of data.

Contribute to a group-wide data strategy, including the sign-off of Data Protection Impact Assessments

Review, update and implement Data Protection & Privacy Policies and Procedures.

Monitor any breaches, ensuring the appropriate remedial action is taken.

THE CANDIDATE

To be considered for this role, applicants must be able demonstrate a solid Data Protection background preferably in the financial services/finance sector.

With previous work experience c 5 + years as a Privacy/Data Protection Officer
