In House Commercial Contracts Solicitor Job in Cardiff - 12 Month FTC

Your new company
This well-established financial services business is looking for a Commercial Contracts Solicitor to join their team based in Cardiff on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract, to provide effective commercial support to their UK business and manage and mitigate legal and regulatory risk in a timely, commercial and pragmatic manner.

Your new role
You will be negotiating, drafting and amending contracts and lead on specific projects and reviews within the Legal function. As the in-house Commercial Contracts Solicitor or Barrister, you will advise the business on high value, often complex contracts with third party suppliers and due to our clients on-going, company-wide digital transformation, many of these will be IT contracts. As part of the role, you may also be required to advise on joint ventures, look at the supplier management processes and monitor the regulatory changes relating to outsourcing.

About you
You will be a Commercial Solicitor or barrister from either private practice or who is currently working In-house. The role will suit someone who is capable and confident or running their own projects and supporting on high level contract negotiations. You will need to be able to provide pragmatic and fast advice to the business, understanding their commercial and strategic needs.

The role requires good influencing skills, commercial judgement and a pro-active approach and involves interaction with both junior and senior level executives. Ideally you will possess experience in a financial services or other commercial organisation, or in private practice in a department advising on financial services law, banking law or general commercial law.
