Construction/Residential Development Lawyer - 3+ PQE - London or Newcastle - 6month+ Contract

My client, a leading international law firm are looking to hire a construction/residential development lawyer to join their offices in London or Newcastle. 

The role

• The construction team plays an integral role in supporting  every aspect of property development from planning through procurement, project funding and ultimately disposals.
• Work closely with the lead partner and other members of the team on more complex transactions, having responsibility for key tasks as well as generally supporting the wider transaction.
• Work closely to client protocols and processes.
• Comply with the required standards for file opening, conflict management, and financial management of files, billing regimes etc. as well as the specific reporting or other management requirements of individual clients.
• Make an appropriate contribution to non fee-earning activity e.g. knowledge sharing, training, client seminars, business development and/or client care and relationship management.

Requirements

•  3+ PQE - Must have experience of the principal forms of construction contract (JCT, ACA, NEC contracts), professional appointments, warranties and bespoke development agreements
• Experience in commercial real estate, typically to have been gained in residential development but other property acquisition and disposal experience will be considered.
