OVERVIEW
Our client is an international law firm that ranks among the top hundred law firms in the world by turnover and due to continued success the firm is looking to recruit a planning lawyer to join their Planning & Environment and Energy & Infrastructure team in either Leeds, Manchester or Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a Planning lawyer to further their career in a highly acclaimed practice.
THE ROLE
As aforementioned the role sits within the firms Planning & Environment and Energy & Infrastructure team, a team that boasts the No. 1 largest planning and environment team in the UK. The role will see you become an integral part of a close knit team of experienced and highly regarded lawyers who cover the broad spectrum of planning law. The work itself is intellectually stimulating, and will involve in the full range of planning and environmental advice from project inception, through the formulation and review of consent applications, to dealing with the regulatory authorities and planning appeals and inquiries.
Please note: As part of the role you may be required to travel, both within the UK and internationally, for the purposes of visiting clients and our other UK offices
THE CANDIDATE
Candidates applying for this position should be able to display:
- between 2-6 years PQE
- experience gained working in a large commercial law firm
- excellent academic achievement with a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent
- experience of drafting, reviewing and negotiating facility agreements and security documents
- strong commercial awareness and a willingness to learn
- a commitment to business development and client relationship management
