Job Details
We have been instructed on new roles from leading firms in Sydney and Melbourne for junior to senior level Associates to join their busy Competition teams.
There is a high demand for experienced Competition associates to expand the Sydney and Melbourne teams of leading national and international firms in Australia. The need is primarily due to the firms having increased client work requiring further lawyers to assist with exciting new instructions and mandates from high-profile clients.
These are broad competition law roles working with companies and private clients on a range of matters, including merger clearances and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and ACCC requirements, acting on contentious matters, investigations, and criminal sanctions, as well as ongoing strategic advice to a sophisticated and sector-leading client-base
The successful candidates must be commercially aware and will have at least 1 year of experience in a competition law position from a top Australian or UK firm, or otherwise have worked in-house for a competition regulatory authority in Australia, the UK, Europe or elsewhere internationally.
Excellent academics are a pre-requisite to be successful for these roles.
These opportunities are open to Australian and New Zealand lawyers, as well as UK lawyers looking to move to Sydney or Melbourne for a positive lifestyle change alongside exceptional career potential and market-leading work.
The candidates will receive an excellent salary, with relocation packages available as required. Ideally, UK candidates will have a right to work in Australia without sponsorship, especially at the junior level.
