We are currently looking for an experienced transactional Banking & Finance lawyer to join our client, a multinational financial services company, on an interim basis.

Description

  • provide support and advise on all legal aspects associated with lending and financing operations from deal inception to closure
  • review, draft and negotiate a wide range of financial documentation for debt, equity finance, project and infrastructure finance, etc.: bilateral and syndicated lending (LMA and non-LMA loans), syndication or participation risk sharing structures with other financial institutions, various types of security documents 
  • liaise with the internal stakeholders and advise business on various legal issues arising in connection with the institution’s operations
  • engage, liaise with, and supervise, external counsel
  • maintain a suite of internal templates and policies

  • start: ASAP
  • duration: up to 6 months with a possibility to extend
  • location: on-site at client's offices in the City
  • schedule: minimum 4 days a week

Requirements and qualifications

  • excellent academic credentials
  • a minimum of four years' post-qualification experience acquired at a top-tier law firm and in-house experience at a leading financial services institution
  • significant experience of lending and finance (debt and equity finance, project finance, bilateral and syndicated lending, good knowledge of LMA documentation)
  • qualified in England & Wales (or in an overseas jurisdiction having worked in the UK for at least 2 years)
  • current practising certificate (or equivalent) allowing to practise as a lawyer in England & Wales
  • right to work and reside in the UK
  • ability to work independently with little supervision
  • self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong commercial acumen
