BANKING PARTNER - LEEDS
Our client is a thriving national brand which has made a siginificant investment in Leeds in recent years, and continues to do so by recruiting good quality additional lawyers from some of the biggest firms in the region.
Important to their strategy is to appoint an experienced Banking lawyer to their Leeds office, and logically this will be a lateral hire of a Partner, or possibly a lawyer taking their first step from Director or Managing Associate into a partnership spot. Whatever the persons trajectory they will enjoy a highly visible position as the face of this brand for Banking work in Yorkshire, and will be well supported internally in the firm as local and national level.
The firm has great belief in its investment in Leeds, growth has been rapid, and Corporate and Real Estate are both well established now with lead partners who are known in the Yorkshire region. The firms banking and finance specialists act for clients across the UK, both borrowers and lenders for which they are on panels. The plan is to lever off the successes elsewhere to open up panel spots in Yorkshire, service borrower or investor work on deals, and work in very close support to corporate and real estate colleagues. This should be a relatively soft landing for someone as this is a full service brand with real collective momentum, and they've a real buzz of positivity in the Leeds office.
Remuneration will be substantial. Of course this firm has tolerances and thresholds for all levels of appointment, but they'll take a commercial view on any 'following' as this is a key recruit and so the firm knows they need to be somewhat flexible in their assessment of the options in what is clearly a finite market.
For any candidate who is frustrated with their existance in a well established banking department and who wants the release and unique freedom that comes with this role then it's an opportunity well worth exploring. Career challenges which are both enjoyable and justified are rare to come by, but this brand is sufficiently proven that this role is plum for an experienced banking lawyer who wants to back themselves and reinvigorate their working life day to day.
Brooke Thornham Consulting advertisements use PQE levels purely as a guide to the level of experience required for the role and this does not prohibit applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills and experience. We aim to respond to enquiries as soon as possible but if we have not contacted you within 5 days then unfortunately on this occasion your application has not quite met the requirements of our client closely enough.
