LOCATION: Birmingham City Centre (Commutable from Birmingham, Worcester, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire)

THE ROLE:

Then this could be the role for you. This is an exciting opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor to work with some of the most experienced professionals within this area of law. The team recognises the nature of the work they are carrying out, and as such, understand the sensitivities when dealing with personal and financial affairs. They are empathetic and strive to communicate with their clients in the most clear and professional way. The appointed Private Client Solicitor will take on a varied caseload of private client matters, including wills, lasting powers of attorney, trusts, inheritance tax planning and Court of Protection matters.
THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal Private Client Solicitor will have had at least 7 years of post qualification experience working in a private client department at a similar firm. The Solicitor should have an in-depth knowledge of all areas of wills, trusts and probate, and should be confident in their ability to deal with complex administrations of estate in the most efficient and cost effective way possible. The Private Client Solicitor should have strong communication skills and have proven experience of communicating with clients in a personable, clear and professional way. Our client is looking for a Solicitor that can really use their experience and expertise to add to this already thriving department and, therefore, a keen interest in business development is required. As part of the interview process you will write a business plan as to what you would aim to achieve in the first 12 months. Upon appointment to the role this will then form your job description and strategy to build and develop your department.
