We have a new Central Government position that has become available for a Commercial and Procurement Lawyer. The department are looking for a highly motivated individual with good self awareness, strong procurement law and contract law experience.
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate Legal Professional Skills at Legal Officer or Grade 7 Lawyer level.

The work will be non contentious, which will include procurement law, public law, and commercial awareness. There will be a high volume of cases to be completed before a variety of deadlines that you will have to work towards. Having good time management and successful management of dealing with your own caseload is essential for this position.

Main duties and responsibilities include:
Ability to deal with Public Law cases and procurement law cases.
Providing legal and policy advice to clients.
Comfortable working autonomously but also knowing when to consult and delegate if cases need to be worked on together.
Responsibility of contractual Litigation and disputes.
Have an understanding of the context the client operates in.
The ability to think strategically and creatively, see legal issues in their wider context and advise accordingly.
