Company Secretary/Corporate Governance Lawyer – Global Bank – Contract - Central London

The Client

Our client, one of the world’s largest banks, seeks a Company Secretary with corporate governance experience to support its London arm for a 6-12 month contract.

The Role

Examples of responsibility include:

  • Managing Board arrangements;
  • Providing quality-control of materials provided to Directors;
  • Ensuring good Board governance;
  • Corporate governance;
  • Advising on risk management, including conduct and legal risk;
  • Creating and maintaining standards for papers and reports; and
  • Preparing and publishing meeting minutes.

About You

You should:

  • Have previous experience as a Company Secretary;
  • Have experience in a corporate governance role;
  • Be a UK qualified lawyer with a strong legal background (15PQE+); and
  • Be able to build strong relationships, trust and credibility with stakeholders (particularly at Board level).
