Senior Litigation Lawyer

Leading UK Law Firm looking for Senior Litigation Solicitor with team leading experiences to join.

Your new role

The role involves joining an existing team of 3 litigation lawyers dealing with a variety of commercial and civil litigation. It does not involve dealing with personal injury and medical negligence work (we have 2 other experienced solicitors dealing with that work exclusively). The job will broadly replace an existing lawyer's caseload - with the current caseload split broadly as follows;

• Professional negligence claims, partnership disputes and company disputes - 70%
• Other commercial and civil litigation - 30%

What you'll need to succeed

The right candidate will have :

• at least 4 years' solid experience of civil and commercial litigation work - which preferably would include experience of professional negligence claims, partnership disputes and director, shareholder and company disputes - and an ability to run these sort of cases unsupervised
• a desire to help in the growth of the litigation department
• great people skills and will be an enthusiastic team player
• good organisational. time management and IT skills
• high standards of customer care
• a history of strong billing

The job is suitable for a solicitor or legal executive with genuine ability and proven experience. Proven ability in training junior staff would be a bonus, although it's not essential. So, if you are a confident, well-presented, friendly and approachable lawyer with excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you.
