I am working with a highly regarded top 25 international law firm looking for a junior-mid level patent litigator to join their intellectual property practice in London. The firm is keen to expand and grow its IP disputes practice and has identified the patents space to be one of the core areas to focus on.

The firm is spread across all 5 continents and therefore has a wealth of high quality international work to offer joining associates. The team in London is relatively small at the moment but given their vision of growth a joining member can expect good progression prospects as the practice expands. The practice has high capabilities in the life sciences sector and also works on a wide range of product patents for retailers. There is also a degree of soft IP work, with the team experienced in trademark, copyright, licensing and other IP disputes.

The role is ideal for a lawyer looking to move into pure IP disputes work from a broader commercial disputes practice or from a mixed non contentious and contentious background.

The ideal candidate would have between 1 and 4 years of experience at a well-established City law firm or IP boutique. In-house experience would also be considered. The candidate should have experience in hard IP disputes and preferably have good knowledge of the life sciences sector, though this is not essential.
