Commercial IP/IT Senior Associate/Counsel- Growing London Office of US Firm - Non-NY Hours

US firm, highly regarded in the States for their work in the media and life sciences sectors, is now looking to build on that expertise in their London office. Managing work for US clients investing in Europe, as well as expanding the firm's European client base, you will be working directly with the head of the London IP and Tech team on a wide variety of matters including commercial contracts, sponsorship, licensing, data protection, and other aspects of intellectual property and tech. 

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of post qualification experience, gained within a highly-regarded TMT practice. Broad commercial/IP experience is essential, as is some expertise in data protection matters. Experience of or a strong interest in the life sciences industry would also be highly desirable.

The firm has an extremely flat structure and is keen that new joiners for new progress quickly and play an active role in business development. The London team is developing its relationships with the firm's US side clients, so secondments or visits to the US offices would be very much encouraged. You will be supported in developing your own relationships with these clients, as well as in business development activities across Europe.

The firm does not have the hours expectations of New York law firms; instead they have cultivated a UK-style working culture. Hours targets are 1400, and there is absolutely no "face-time" required.
