12 month FTC - Enfranchisement Lawyer - 1+PQE - London

A top 50 law firm in London are looking to bring on board a collective and leasehold enfranchisement lawyer to join their property litigation team for a period of 12 months to cover maternity leave. The role is to start ASAP to facilitate a handover period and has the potential to become a permanent position should this be desired by both parties.

The team are highly regarded for the work they undertake and are ranked within the legal directories. They act for private landlords and tenants, developers, management companies and lenders.

The successful individual must have experience in a wide variety of leasehold and collective enfranchisement matters (dealing with both contentious and non-contentious matters). They should also have experience in advising on right of first refusal matters. Due to the structure of the team, the successful individual must be able to handle enfranchisement matters without supervision and should be able to provide light assistance to a junior team member on an ad-hoc basis. Sitting within the property litigation team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to handle a small amount of general property litigation claims, but it should be noted that a significant proportion of their caseload will relate to collective and leasehold enfranchisement.

Successful candidates will:

• Be England and Wales qualified or qualified within another commonwealth jurisdiction,
• Possess upwards of 1 years' PQE in handling property litigation matters, specifically collective and leasehold enfranchisement matters,
• Have obtained experience in leading city or regional practices,
• Be solutions focused,
• Have the capacity to work with minimal to no supervision,
• Be available immediately or at short notice.
