FUNDS LAWYER - NQ - LONDON

OVERVIEW 

Our client is an elite US law firm that serves as counsel to many of the world's largest companies, financial institutions and investment firms. In London, its focus is on asset managers. It is currently seeking a newly qualified to 1PQE funds lawyer to join its London office. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a multi-award winning law firm that is renowned for successfully providing effective business solutions to complex challenges.

THE ROLE 

The Asset Management practice assists members of the global asset management industry by providing a full range of legal services to a diverse group of clients, including US, European and international financial institutions, hedge fund managers, private equity firms, investment advisers, family offices and institutional investors.

It provides top-tier advice on all aspects of funds, managed accounts and other investment vehicles, including fund formation, negotiation of managed accounts and advisory agreements, structuring management companies and compensation arrangements, seeding and stakes transactions, spin-outs, documentation of prime brokerage and other trading arrangements, and advice regarding ongoing operations. Upon joining this practice, you will be joining an immensely talented and extremely collegiate team. The work is of an exceptional quality and often high profile. You will get involved throughout the fund life cycle including in fund establishment, structuring and marketing as well as ongoing operational issues, secondary transactions and restructuring mandates. This firm provides a strong platform for any junior associate who is keen to be on the front line of deals and hone their skills learning from recognised Names.

THE CANDIDATE 

To be considered for this role you will be an entrepreneurial and enthusiastic newly qualified or junior lawyer who has either trained or qualified with another top funds practice. You will be able to evidence a strong academic profile and demonstrate a genuine passion for this area of law. Client facing experience and the ability to understand and respond effectively to client needs is essential.
