Commercial Contracts Counsel

What you'll do:

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including software licences, professional services terms and nondisclosure agreements.
• Provide end-to-end legal support on customer contracts from RFP stage to contract execution. 
• Understand and articulate key IP, commercial and other contractual requirements. 
• Keep up-to-date on applicable laws, regulations and industry guidance. 
• Drive compliance in day-to-day sales activities, including the provision of training. 
• Balance the management of legal risks with being an effective business partner. 
• Draft and update legal team templates and precedents. 
• Review and negotiate supplier contracts. 
• Assist with legal team projects as assigned by legal lead.
     

What we're looking for:

• Assist with legal team projects as assigned by legal lead.
• England & Wales qualified solicitor or French Qualified lawyer (avocat). Other European bar qualifications considered.
• 1-2 years of PQE, preferably at a major law firm or in-house with a technology company a plus. Other PQE considered.
• High volume commercial transactions experience. SaaS licensing experience a plus.
• An excellent communicator and negotiator.
• An excellent project manager across multiple customers and contracts.
• Demonstrated capability in contract drafting and negotiation preparation required. Experience leading negotiations for complex legal transactions preferred. 
• Must be able to work effectively both independently and with a team.
• Knowledge of EU and US privacy laws (including CIPP certification) is a plus.
• Fluent in English. French, German or any other European languages a plus.
