Structured Finance & Derivatives Lawyer (2-5 PQE) – Global Law Firm, Hong Kong

The Hong Kong office of this major global law firm seeks an ambitious, talented associates for its market leading Banking & Finance Group. Working closely with two high profile partners who place a strong emphasis on mentoring and development of their associates, the successful applicant will become a key member of the team going forward.

With between 2-5 years PQE gained at a Magic/Silver Circle or equivalent US law firm, applicants will have experience of OTC derivatives and structured finance, including re-packagings, credit derivatives, equity derivatives and other OTC derivatives, structured products, securities lending and repos, as well as netting, collateral, clearing, custody and credit risk management issues. The group also advise clients on Hong Kong regulatory matters as well as issues arising from the global OTC derivatives regulatory reforms.

Common law qualified (E&W or HK preferred but not essential) applicants will ideally possess Cantonese and Mandarin language skills, but again not essential. Technically strong and comfortable working closely with what is often a demanding client base, you will look to take immediate responsibility for transactions and business development, working closely with partners and senior lawyers in Hong Kong and internationally.
