IP Counsel: Patents
A new vacancy has just become available at a leading FTSE 100 business based in Bristol for an IP Counsel, focusing in Patents. This international business is a leader in their field with a global presence.
As part of a large IP team with a global remit, you'll be engaged in all aspects of patent related matters including, IP due diligence & IP advice on corporate transactions (M&A), litigation, licensing, FTO exercises, non-disclosure and R&D agreements.
You'll also be in charge of managing the groups' patent portfolio and will cover activities like FTO and patentability work, patent prosecution and oppositions. You'll be working in conjunction with external counsel from Magic Circle and International law firms, supporting IP activities along the way.
In return, you'll be part of a renowned and highly respected team and will be rewarded with a generous package that includes a sizeable salary packet, up to 30% bonus and up to 14% employer pension contribution. You'll receive private medical, life and 29 days of holiday per annum. You'll be based in the businesses easily accessible corporate head offices in Bristol.
This is the ideal role for a private practice lawyer (2-5 pqe) to make the step into an in-house role. Lawyers already in house with solid IP and Patent experience will also be considered.
