Legal Counsel

An international organisation with a UK base is looking for a Legal Counsel to advise on matters across their European offices.

This business has operations in more than 30 countries worldwide and the In-house legal team, based in Nottinghamshire, provides legal advice to the business in Europe, Russia, South Africa, Turkey, and Morocco.

Your role will involve;

- Draft, negotiate, and review international commercial contracts with customers and support sales teams with commercial agreements
- Draft, negotiate, and review international commercial agreements in relation to supply chain
- Coach and support more junior members of the team
- Support the business in any commercial disputes
- Develop and deliver internal training on legal updates and compliance (eg. anti-bribery & corruption)

Based in the East Midlands, the ideal candidate will;

- Have between 4 - 8 years PQE (although all considered)
- Experienced in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including sales, distribution, and IT
- Be comfortable working in other jurisdictions and travelling accordingly
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to work closely with legal and non-legal colleagues throughout the business

This role would be perfect for an individual with some experience in an In-house team, ideally with some experience of manufacturing, who is looking for an international role with travel.
