Job Details
There were 27 partner moves in white collar crime in 2018 in London. Many law firm partnerships might have used the “field of dreams” strategy, thinking if they recruited a WCC partner then the work would come.
But this long-established London office of this US law firm actually has the work but as yet has not recruited. The London litigation team is undertaking the existing matters, but there is a pressing need for a specialist. The work is being originated from London lawyers and the wider international partnership. But the way the credit is allocated at the firm means it makes far more sense for the right partner with the right skill set to do the work. The on-going work includes two matters involving the SFO and some other active matters. You will be head the practice and grow the team.
The London office is profitable, has a clear strategy and is well integrated with the US, with London lawyers sitting on the global policy committee. There is meaningful work exported from the US in a number of practice areas. The London equity partners have an incredible compensation distribution structure.
