Job Details
This is a leading full service global law firm. The majority of the firm’s practices are Band 1 in the legal directories and hence there are number of lawyers listed as leading individuals. The firm has a leading global litigation practice, again with a number of leading lawyers in London. The corporate crime practice is recognised as a market leader. When the practice was launched in London, the move was seen by many (retrospectively) as strategically visionary.
This is a very rare opportunity to join a practice of this standing, in a role of real strategic influence. Historically 80% of the work has been on behalf of corporates and banks. Whilst the firm does work on behalf of very high-profile individuals, it tends to refer that work to other firms. The work is generated mainly through the network and hence when the firm recruits (which is relatively rarely) they tend to look at lawyers with leading reputations. This role is quite unusual as the firm will consider a junior to mid-level partner. By way of background you will need to be at a well-respected fraud practice either at another city practice or at a leading boutique.
