Legal Counsel - Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz UK is seeking a Commercial Lawyer to join their in-house legal department in Milton Keynes. As an In-house Commercial Lawyer, you will have responsibility for assisting both the UK Group and Retail businesses. The Role

To support further business growth, and to ensure legal standards across the UK business, Mercedes-Benz seeks to recruit an additional Commercial Solicitor to work at its offices in Milton Keynes. Working with the existing in-house lawyers, you will take on a varied commercial workload, with a focus on:

- negotiating and drafting a variety of commercial contracts relating to procurement and sales, including IT agreements, customer support, data management, marketing services, facilities, fleet tenders etc.;
- supporting on data protection matters; and
- providing general legal advice to the wider Group.

Individuals applying for this position should have existing general commercial contracts training and experience, ideally gained in-house and/or at a leading law firm. A willingness and ability to get involved in other ad hoc legal matters is essential, as is an ability to work in a busy and fast-moving environment. Experience of, or an interest in, Data Protection would be highly beneficial.
