Property Development Solicitor

Property Development Solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE is sought for an in-house role in Greater Manchester. This is an exciting and rare opportunity for a site / land acquisition and development solicitor to join an industry leading company in the North-West.

Greater Manchester based property company seeks experienced Property Development Solicitor (Associate level or above most likely) to provide advice, assistance and support in connection with multi-million pound land, acquisition and residential development matters. This is an ideal opportunity for real estate / property solicitors with at least 5 years' PQE of site acquisition and development work.

The role of Property Development Solicitor is highly autonomous with significant responsibility. The main scope of the role is to negotiate site purchase contracts, option agreements and planning (S106) documents etc, assisting and working with the development directors and technical and planning teams to support their objectives in acquiring, securing planning on, and developing land.

Dealing with the acquisition of sites for will also see you arranging documentation for funding site purchase and development, instructing and liaising with external solicitors who handle plot sales, evaluating and reporting on tender documentation, advising the company on new legislation and regulations, drafting standard documents and generally advising and supporting the purchasing, sales, technical, planning, accounts and management services departments.

Individuals applying for the post of In-house Property Development Solicitor must possess existing experience handling complex and high-value site acquisition and development projects, ideally in a residential context. You will likely be associate level with at least 5 years' PQE, and you will ideally have some existing in-house experience, albeit this is preferred rather than essential. A hands-on approach and a commercial, straight talking and down to earth style is key.
