Your new role
My clients national banking and finance team advises clients on a range of financing transactions across a wide variety of sectors, often with a multi-jurisdictional element. Acting for borrowers, lenders and investors means we have a practical understanding of the needs of all parties to a financing transaction. Their expertise extends to corporate lending, acquisition finance, asset finance, real estate finance (both investment and development), project finance, marine finance and invoice discounting both on a bilateral and a syndicatable basis. They work closely with some of the UK's major banks and financial institutions, and have approved panel solicitor status with many of them. They manage transactions from start to finish, ensuring a smooth and cohesive process, enabling clients to continue to focus on building their relationships and running their businesses.

Their team is going from strength to strength, as showcased by the recent additions in Birmingham and Reading teams already, bolstering their project, real estate finance and acquisition finance practice. The team of ten in Reading now has three Partners, and they are looking to complement the recent growth with the addition of an Associate or Senior Associate.

What you'll need to succeed
This would suit a locally based banking lawyer or someone relocating to the Thames Valley. You will have the opportunity work closely with the local team on their matters, as well as the national Banking team. You will be heavily involved in some high value transactions and will be able to assist on a range of work with a particular focus on leverage finance and real estate finance.

They are ideally looking for an experienced Senior Associate who will be confident drafting and negotiating facility agreements (both from LMA form and bank standard form), running matters (with appropriate supervision and supervising others in the team, but would also welcome applications from ambitious Associates who are keen to take the next step in their career and be part of a highly ranked team.
