OVERVIEW
Our client is a Top 10 Global Law Firm that is renowned for putting clients’ interests and priorities at the very heart of everything they do. Due to their continued success, the firm is now seeking a newly qualified Associate to join their Energy and Asset Finance team. This is a remarkable opportunity to join a future facing law firm that is externally recognised for quality and a particular specialism in this area.
THE ROLE
When you join this firm as an newly qualified lawyer, you will instantaneously become an integral part of a close-knit team. You will work alongside some of the most highly regarded practitioners whose wealth of experience and knowledge will ensure you see your own development and potential soar. Your main focus as an NQ will be to assist the firm in driving this growth area within the wider Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Group. Your main focus will be infra-/project finance. However, you will also get the opportunity to work on a variety of debt and leasing transactions related to a variety of asset classes. Virtually all transactions are cross-border in nature. The firm’s current client portfolio covers a variety of sectors including owners, banks, lessors and portfolio managers, in particular on aircraft, shipping, offshore marine and asset based financings and all associated procurement, chartering and operating arrangements. This is truly an exciting opportunity that will ensure no day is the same. THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will be a pro-active and ambitious newly qualified lawyer who can evidence some relevant experience in Energy and Asset finance - although candidates who have experience in other areas of finance will also be considered. You will be a strong team player who possesses excellent academic record with a minimum 2:1 degree. Flexibility in working across finance disciplines will be required and any Chinese language skills would also be helpful.
