In House Finance Lawyer

Legal Counsel Capital Markets, Finance and Asset Management - 4-7 pqe - London

Our client is a leading life and pensions company based in London.
They are looking for an experienced debt capital markets lawyer legal counsel to support on a wide range of debt finance and capital markets matters for their Group. The role will involve working closely with the Group General Counsel, Group CFO, Head of Treasury and Group Chief Investment Officer, as well as core clients.

Work will involve:

advising on all legal aspects of external and internal capital markets and financing transactions (including corporate bonds securities lending and derivative transactions), capital and liquidity management and related regulatory matters;
effectively identifying and reporting legal risks, providing professional advice and support
effectively managing relationships and communications regarding legal and compliance concepts
openly sharing assumptions, values and thought process in reaching conclusions and be willing to learn and self-reflect as well as actively share know-how
Liaising with external lawyers where necessary.

Candidates will have 4-7 years DCM (some ECM experience would be desirable but is not a necessity) working in house or in private practice in an international environment.
Remuneration is generous and with benefits and bonus also offered.
