Legal Counsel – Banking / FS – Contract – London

The Client

We are acting for an international investment management firm based in Central London. They are looking for a junior- or mid-level lawyer on a 6-12 month contract to support their SMCR implementation (no SMCR experience necessary).

The Role

  • Reviewing the firm’s contracts to ensure they are SMCR compliant;
  • Advising senior lawyers on amendments that should be made to ensure regulatory compliance;
  • Drafting and negotiating revised terms to contracts; and
  • Working closely with the business, ensuring all actions are commercially beneficial for the firm.

About You

You should have top law firm training, with experience in regulatory work. Your contract drafting skills must be excellent, particularly in relation to advising business decisions. 

This role is ideal for someone looking to work in a well-respected buy-side financial institution, whilst continuing an upward career trajectory.
