Legal Counsel, Derivatives – Leading European Investment Bank
Our client, a leading European investment bank, is looking for an experienced derivatives/structured products lawyer to join their London based team.
Responsibilities
Provision of legal support in respect of a broad range of fixed income and commodity derivatives and structured products, including some or all of the following:
- Flow commodities, credit, FX, rates and inflation derivatives;
- Structured products with various underlyings;
- Securitisation or facility-linked rating agency compliant swap and option transactions;
- Leveraged and distressed loan trading;
- Islamic derivatives;
- Private-side corporate solutions;
- Transactions relating to resource management;
- Structuring and solutions-based work in emerging and developing markets;
- Inventory financing metals, gas, oil, power and emissions products, both cash and physically settled;
- Non-quantitative structuring responsibilities.
- Coordinating execution of transactions.
- Post-trade transaction work.
- Monitoring ongoing legal, regulatory and market developments in the region affecting relevant business areas.
- Representing the bank in the European region on various local/ regional industry bodies.
Skills and Qualifications
- 4 -10 years’ post-qualification experience gained at a financial institution or international law firm.
- Primary legal experience in derivatives and/ or structured products.
- General banking legal experience is helpful.
