Corporate Lawyer

A leading City law firm is seeking a corporate associate for its successful team.

The firms' clients range from some of the world's largest multinational corporations to private individuals. The firm acts for charities, housing associations and regulators. The firm describes itself as full service with specialists in Corporate, Commercial, Civil Litigation, Housing, Real Estate, Employment and Projects. The firm is currently going through an extensive period of growth and as such are searching to add a talented solicitor to its corporate offering.

The type of work that the corporate team carries out includes:

M&A and restructures:Typically for PLCs, large private companies and SMEs. Deal sizes vary but regularly exceed £1 billion.

Commercial Contracts: including IT contracts and collaborative procurement.

Corporate & Governance: working alongside senior executive officers and their non-executive boards to develop and support their structures and governance.

Joint Ventures: typically between housing associations and house builders, investors or repairs and maintenance contractors.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years' PQE with a Company/Commercial background. Experience with housing associations and charity law would be an advantage but is not required. The ideal candidate will also have an excellent academic background with a minimum of a 2.1 at degree level.
