Job Details
Our client, a leading mid City and international firm, is looking to hire a corporate tax associate - preferably with post qualified tax experience, although the partners are also happy to take applications from strong corporate tax NQs, due to qualify, who have completed a dedicated corporate tax seat during their training and are keen to make corporate tax their area of speciality. What sets this team apart from other large City firms is the sheer breadth of the tax practice, encompassing corporate M&A / PE, real estate, funds, finance, and other more esoteric areas/sectors. Notably, certain members of the corporate tax team are also involved in large, high profile tax disputes, and the new associate will therefore have the opportunity, if desired, to get involved in some contentious tax work. The partners are looking for a bright, adaptable corporate tax lawyer with a good training firm background and strong academics - someone who keen to embrace a broad tax practice. This is a growing, close knit, friendly, supportive team with a less relentless working culture than at a top tier / magic circle firm.
