Legal Counsel: Commercial (FTC)
A leading manufacturing business (consumer goods) is recruiting a suitably experienced (3+ pqe) lawyer to join their in-house team in Manchester for a period of 9 months.
Based near Monsall/Moston in Manchester, you'll be working closely with General Counsel & Company secretary, primarily supporting commercial activities. You'll have excellent knowledge of typical commercial agreements and be comfortable drafting both standard and bespoke contracts.
As legal counsel, you'll be the face of legal for the business and will provide pragmatic and commercial advice across a wide range of issues including contentious matters, IP, GDPR, real-estate and be able to support compliance activities across the group.
You will be a qualified lawyer with at least 3 years of post-admission experience. Given the commercial focus of this role, you'll need previous experience drafting & negotiating contracts and any experience in FMCG/retail or manufacturing will be highly advantageous. This is the ideal opportunity to gain experience working at a PLC business.
