Commercial & Corporate Paralegal – Shipping provider 
Location: London
Salary: From £40 K to £45 K
Duration Period: Perm

I’m looking to speak to an experienced Commercial & Corporate Paralegal who will be assisting the Ship Finance Department and the Head of Legal (Finance) with day to day transaction management and administration for new and existing ship finance transactions. Furthermore, the Paralegal will be required to manage the KYC procedures, loan documentation process, account mandate processes and general legal support.

Key Responsibilities;

• Day to day transaction management of new and existing ship finance transactions – including drafting, reviewing and amending documentation, collation of documents and organisation of files
• Assisting with the collation of KYC documentation requests from our counterparties
• Legal research

Essential knowledge, skills and experience;

• At least 2 years proven experience as a paralegal in a similar legal role in a shipping environment with a well-regarded law firm or in-house legal team at a bank or relevant shipping company
• Strong transactional experience, assisting with the running and completion of financing transactions
• Experience and knowledge within the shipping, aviation, rail or asset finance space
• Strong technical understanding of relevant legal concepts and practices under loan and security documentation and company and contract law as regards corporate authorities and registration of security
