The Company
This leading independent energy company is looking for a commodities trading or energy lawyer to join its legal team and take responsibility for a wide range of general commercial and corporate matters.
The Opportunity
You will have responsibility for drafting, negotiating and reviewing a variety of contracts such as supply, sales, trading (ISDA, etc.), transportation and storage contracts; credit support and guarantee instruments; and participating in pre-litigation disputes for agreements and activities.
You will also advise the business on a range of both day-to-day and strategic matters, assisting with the negotiation of the legal aspects of major finance, JV and M&A agreements.
About You
The business requires a commodities or energy lawyer or a corporate lawyer with energy experience who is looking to work closely with a business in a varied in-house position. The role is also an opportunity be close to business decisions both on a daily and strategic basis. In-house experience within oil, commodities, trading and/or shipping will all be well-utilised.
