Lawyer (Litigation) - Regulator - London - Mid-senior level
Our client ("The Regulator") is a high profile regulator based in the City of London
Key responsibilities with this role are to ensure that advice given provides options for The Regulator, where appropriate, and exposes the risks associated with particular course of action so The Regulator can make a balanced decision and that its interests are protected.
To provide client-focused legal services that meet the needs of the individuals using the service while protecting The Regulator's interests as the ultimate client.
To contribute to working parties and projects across the organisation.
The successful candidate will be a mid-level to senior, UK or Common Law qualified lawyer (barrister or solicitor) with experience of:
- advisory work,
- public and administrative,
- regulatory law,
- policy and drafting; and
- data protection and freedom of information law.
This experience will be likely to have been gained either in private practice at a law firm noted for its regulatory practice or in house with a regulator or other body operating in and interacting with public law.
