My client is a global financial institution looking to hire a real estate finance lawyer into a specialist team on a permanent basis.
Key responsibilities include -
- Negotiating and reviewing contractual documentation relating to real estate finance so as to manage documentation risk (ie credit, reputational, market and Agency risk). Documentation to include term sheets, mandate/ engagement letters, loan facility, intercreditor and ancillary documentation for cross-border transactions;
- Advise on effective structuring of transactions and review and analyse proposed structures/ tax structure papers, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of security, guarantee, leakage, subordination and intercreditor issues;
- Working closely with the business origination team, colleagues and external counsel and direct interaction with our external clients;
- Being innovative and finding solutions that work well commercially and within the relevant legal framework; the ability to work independently but also provide support to team colleagues within an experienced teams.
A strong candidate should have relevant real estate finance experience from a top city law firm or in-house institution and have at least 2 years post qualification experience.
