COMMERCIAL ASSOCIATE (COMPETITION / ANTITRUST) - MANCHESTER

Commercial Solicitor / Associate (Competition Law) - A rare opportunity has arisen with one of our leading clients. This is a role for a Commercial Associate with a particular focus on Competition Law and Antitrust. This is a challenging area into which to recruit and our client is keen to attract a broad range of applicants both in experience and range of PQE.

THE ROLE AT A GLANCE

• Location: Manchester
• Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 (headroom depending on experience)
• Reports to: Partner
• Previous Experience: Candidates must have excellent academics. Previous experience in EU or international competition law would be a major advantage. However, this is a challenging skillset for which to recruit so our client is willing to look more broadly.

This particular role forms part of a recruitment drive to add to a team of solicitors in Manchester with a range of expertise, ranging from corporate associates with international mergers and acquisitions expertise to intellectual property solicitors. The department works with lawyers globally providing a seamless service on all manner of national and international matters.

The team is now looking to recruit a solicitor with competition and antitrust experience. No exact range of PQE has been set. The client is willing to consider applicants of all levels of experience including those who have perhaps taken a career break and are now looking for a new challenge. They should have experience working for a mid-tier or top tier national firm and be used to advising larger national and international companies.

NATURE OF THE ROLE

The successful applicant will gain exposure to a rich variety of quality work. They will also have the opportunity to mentor and train more junior lawyers as well as being involved in business development including pitches and tenders.
