Our client is a well regarded Leeds firm with good momentum in the market, and a solid client base of businesses and HNW individuals.

Their Private Client practice is a focus for growth and investment, and hence they are looking to recruit another expeienced lawyer, to be central Leeds based, and work in close co-operation with the head of department in servicing HNW clients and further developing their brand profile.

Suitable applicants will be 5yrsPQE+ and preferably STEP qualified or possibly CTA qualified. Having proven expertise in advising HNW individuals and families, business owners and family trusts is essential - their focus is the more complex end of the private client market. Their clients often have overseas assets as well as UK investments, and complex business structures, and so they need specialist advice on succession, transactions and investment.

Communication skills will be essential, often you will be explaining complex legal ideas and so clients need to understand and trust you as a close advisor. And you'll need a friendly and approachable disposition so as to forge easy rapport with clients and also colleagues.

The firm is very comfortable with its trajectory, and is very open as regards prospects for career progression and how a lawyer can steer a course and achieve their potential within the firm. They have a well defined program for career progression and have examples within the firm of people who've progressed through to partner. Remuneration will be competitive - this firm are arguably the best payer of their size in the Leeds market so we're not concerned that remuneration will be lacking for the right person of sufficient capability to get the role.
