The Client

Our client, a technology start-up, is looking for a commercial technology lawyer to sit as the ‘number two’ for a 12 month contract. They use cutting edge technology to find solutions for asset managers with combined assets managed of over US$33 trillion; therefore playing a large role in the advancement of financial technology.

The Role

Supporting the General Counsel, with some managerial aspects, this role covers a broad range of commercial and technology work. Examples of responsibilities include:

• Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, technology agreements, Cloud contracts, network agreements, software development and software licensing agreements;
• Supporting the transactional needs of the business;
• Advising on a small number of financial services aspects, where required; and
• Working closely with the business to advise on the best actions to support internal and external growth.

About you

You should be commercially minded to support the organisation in its business decisions. Your interests should lay in the technology industry; but you can have experience in other sectors. Top law firm training is desired, as is in-house exposure. The role is ideal for someone 5-10PQE.
