Legal Counsel

An international business with a world-wide client base is looking for a Commercial Lawyer to join the business and advise on a mix of commercial, construction, and litigation matters.

This organisation is a joint venture between two of the world's best known technology and manufacturing businesses. The legal team in the UK work on a truly international basis, working with clients in China, Brazil, India, US, and throughout Europe.

Reporting into the General Counsel and collaborating with colleagues in project management, sales, and commercial, you will provide legal advice on;

· Acquiring complex, large, and international projects;
o Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements
o Managing the negotiation and bidding process
o Assessing risk throughout
· Project management;
o Collaborating with project managers and colleagues in local offices
o Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements
o Dealing with pre-litigious activity
o Advising on construction matters (contentious and non-contentious)
· Handling disputes

The role is incredibly varied and would suit someone with a strong commercial grounding that is looking to expand their experience and work in a more commercial and project focussed role.

The ideal individual will have;

- More than 3 years PQE
- Experience in drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts
- Some experience or insight into construction matters (not essential)
- Strong communication and decision making skills
- The desire to work on an international scale and travel
