Commercial law firm in London is looking to add at least one (possibly two) Corporate Crime/ White Collar Crime lawyers to the Corporate Crime team. They are keen to consider either qualified Solicitors or Barristers of between 0 and 7 years’ PQE/ Call. The candidate successful candidate(s) will work closely with Partners in the Corporate Crime and Regulatory Investigations Group, covering a broad range of matters, including: • Corporate crime issues of all kinds, particularly bribery and corruption, money laundering, fraud, economic sanctions and export controls, and other criminal matters.  Our team supports clients on related issues including extradition, governance and directors' duties • Regulatory investigations (including 'twin track' civil and criminal investigations) particularly those conducted by the Prudential Regulation Authority, the Financial Conduct Authority, and the Payment Systems Regulator • advising on UK aspects of cross-border investigations led by overseas regulators and agencies – work in this area includes investigations into allegations of market abuse, insider trading, breaches of the European Market Abuse Regulation, asset mis-marking, benchmark manipulation, and breaches of other financial services regulatory principles and rules, including anti-money laundering legislation • Non-contentious compliance issues relating to all of the above.  They also use the experience of their contentious work, to help clients learn from operational incidents and strengthen their clients’ systems and controls against financial crime • Helping firms with their implementations of new legislation, for example the implementation of new money laundering directives.      

Successful candidates will run their own matters, with appropriate support where needed. If you are a Solicitor and already qualified you will currently specialise in Corporate Crime/ White Collar Crime. Newly qualified solicitors will ideally have undertaken a seat in a relevant area of law. If you are Barrister, you will have experience of conducting Corporate Crime/ White Collar Crime cases.
