Security Legal Counsel
Our client a global technology business is seeking a Security Legal Counsel based in London. This is a 6 month role with the possibility of being extended beyond this.
You will work within a growing dedicated security team to minimise risk and assure compliance with laws and company policies. You will coordinate all legal advice related to commercial arrangements and offerings.
Within the role you will deal with complex outsourcing deals and transactions, IP, public company responsibilities, board of directors support, mergers and acquisitions, compliance and regulatory support and employment law.
Their security legal counsel focuses on supporting the business' security's go to market/sales organisation helping develop and sell their clients security services and technologies.
The security counsel team is responsible for:
*Determining the conditions under which security offerings are lawfully sellable and deliverable in different geographies (working with Regulatory Counsel)
*Reviewing new service and product offerings prior to launch to market including reviewing the offering, working with legal colleagues and quality and risk leads on identifying and mitigating regulatory risks, implementing legal/contracting risk mitigations through template development, and briefing leadership
*Producing recommendations, guidelines, template materials and training necessary to enable the Legal Sales and Delivery Team with appropriate legal knowledge and tools
*Supporting deal lawyers on client engagements with reviewing, drafting and negotiating complex client transactions in a corporate environment
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years PQE* and have a background in IT law in a fast paced business. You must have a minimum of 3 years experience leading legal support in drafting and negotiating client facing and/or vendor facing agreements (i.e. security services agreements, software licence agreements, consulting service agreements and/or outsourcing agreements). Communication and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment including remote collaboration as part of a global team is essential. Being tech savvy is also essential.
