Front End Projects Lawyer (Construction/EPC Experience) - Global Firm, Singapore

Global law firm with significant presence throughout Asia is looking for a mid-level associate with a strong construction/EPC background to join its Singapore based projects team, which forms part of a multi-disciplinary and cross-office group that advises on major infrastructure and energy projects, to include:

• Front-end project development work, including EPC
• The structuring and procurement of major projects in the infrastructure and energy sectors, including concessions and PPP
• Project financings
• Joint venture arrangements on major projects
• Disputes arising on energy and infrastructure projects

The role they are seeking to fill is focused on front-end project development work with a particular focus on EPC and other forms of project delivery. Ideally you will have a background in front end construction and similar commercial contracts work. Whilst you will be part of the projects team, you will be expected to work collaboratively with, and support, colleagues in other practice groups and offices on the implementation of major projects in the infrastructure and energy sectors. You will regularly work with bespoke and industry forms of contract, including FIDIC, and will advise on unique and complex issues and be required to draft complex documents. Ideally applicants will possess:

• 2 to 6 years Post-Qualification Experience in a common law jurisdiction (on a UK Scale)
• experience in advising on the front-end development aspects of major infrastructure or energy projects gained with a rated practice
• a strong academic pedigree and be fluent in English (spoken and written)
